What do cars and gymnastics have in common?

This post would have been up a long time ago, but after Kody invited me to play Halo with him THREE times, I figured I'd better join him. It was a labor of love, let me tell you. A labor of love. And I'm being serious.

He did catch me actually enjoying myself a little bit at the end though! Did that really happen?! The only video game I've ever enjoyed was Mario Kart on Nintendo 64. You can't beat Koopa Troopa Beach, Wario's Stadium and Rainbow Road.

Anyways...onto "real" blogging.

Kody and I had an AWESOME Valentine's Day! We had plans to go to downtown Chicago to the Chicago Auto Show and a random gymnastics meet I found online, but the plans changed a bit...for the good!

First, I found out that a big gymnastics meet, the CoverGirl Classic, is coming to Chicago in July. If Kody is only being dragged to one gymnastics meet, and he is being dragged to one, then the bigger the better! So those plans got cancelled.

Then Kod surprised me with a hotel reservation in Schaumburg! So we snuggled up on the hotel bed and watched the Olympics all night long. It was amazing and really felt like a vacation! On Sunday, we spent a few hours at the Auto Show, only to realize when we got home that we missed a whole section of it! Oh well, we still saw a lot of cars!

Here's one Kody and I liked, but I'm not sure what it is now. Goes to show how much I know about cars.

Sidenote: When you call for dinner reservations at 5:30 p.m. on the evening before Valentine's Day, don't expect to be eating dinner at a nice restaurant. We never would have been so silly to assume that, which is why we enjoyed dinner at Chipotle.
