With all the talk of Washington D.C. and the inauguration, it made me think back about all the fun memories I have of my time in the city. Driving, spur of the moment, with Michelle to go to Bush's 2005 inauguration, listening to the symphony on the National Mall, spending time with Stephanie at her college, riding the metra, and all the monuments. It makes me miss the city! So here's a short tribute to my time in our country's capital:
Our gate where we went in for Bush's inauguration
Me, Steph and Michelle freezing cold after the ceremony. Who knew two years later that Michelle and I would head back to D.C. for a semester together!
Our view of the Capital during the ceremony. Thanks to Steph, we got pretty good seats (or standing locations, if you want to be more specific).
The White House with my Washington Journalism Center roomie, Ruth. This was at the end of our semester when we were able to call ourselves Washingtonians.
Ford's Theatre at the beginning of our semester in DC. Not quite DC-ites yet.
World War II memorial at night!
Come back and visit!!!
