Okay, I realize there are like a million things wrong with this picture...such as:
- The African print bed skirt NOT matching the light blue sheets.
- The pile of books strewn across the floor.
- The fact that are bed isn't made...or is never made.
- The fact that I'm putting a picture of our bed up on the Internet.
- There's no comforter (and if there was, it wouldn't match the bed skirt either).
- There's a pink/blue/yellow/green falling apart blanket on the bed that Katie has had since she was a baby.
Yes, there is something very wrong with all of that.
But I want you to focus on the pillows. Specifically the location of the pillows.
AT THE FOOT OF THE BED!
I know you don't understand. I don't really understand either.
But a few weeks ago, Kody decided he liked sleeping backwards better than sleeping the way every other normal person sleeps. He actually discovered this a long while back, slept that way for a while and then returned to normal sleeping habits.
But not this time. He claims it has something to do with the light coming through the window. Or that the foot of the bed is raised higher. Or simply that it's more comfortable.
Whatever the reason, he wasn't going to budge. So after a week or two snuggling with Kody's calves and feet, I decided I'd give it a try.
And here we are, two weeks later, with two pillows at the foot of our bed (that always fall off at night), while we sleep backwards.
And I think I've seriously gotten some of the best nights of sleep I've had in a few months.
lol you are funny kate. i dont make my bed either :)
ReplyDeleteI still want to know why the African print bed skirt and blue sheets! WHY! :)
ReplyDeletehaha! Well, it's not really our bed/our own room, for one, and it's decorated "African safari" style, hence the bed skirt. And then I guess we were just really lazy and didn't want to change out all of the bedding (like the bed skirt) but did want to use our own sheets!?
ReplyDeleteHaha this is soo funny!!! Love it!
