Kody is taking the GRE on April 21 and along with studying very hard, he's also expanding his vocabulary.
Did you know that an effigy is a stuffed doll that looks like a human?
Or that aerie is a nest built high in the air or an elevated, often secluded, dwelling?
Bonhomie means good-natured geniality or an atmosphere of good cheer.
And ersatz is fake.
Or that curmudgeon is a cranky person who is usually old?

Well, Kody does. And now you do too.
No way! I am studying for the GRE as well and expanding my vocab!
ReplyDeleteI also like "cantankerous" which is the adjective form of curmudgeon. Also, "avuncular" which is the opposite of that.
Half these words are just ridiculous and the only time you will ever need to know it is on the GRE!
