Style 101

This is why I love having a husband who has a better fashion sense and a better eye for design than me:

Because when he calls me in the morning to ask me to leave our Target gift card at the house for him, I have full confidence that most likely I'll love what he comes home with, in this case, curtains.

(Yes, I did bribe Noodles with treats to sit still for the pictures. And yes, we do have an ugly kennel in our bedroom and pictures that still haven't been hung).

Let's just say I'm the one coming to Kody to see if my clothes match, if my shoes are appropriate and if it's okay that I carry a pink purse while wearing a red winter coat. (I know it's not, but unfortunately I do it anyway!)

And just maybe while we were shopping together, I sent Kody to pick out fake flowers for our vases (because he's good at that, I told him) while I searched for the plain-jane silverware holder.

And it's possible that I never wore sunglasses until Kody picked out a pair for me and told me I looked good in them. And he has picked out every pair since that time.

And, finally, for a brief time my shopping philosophy may have been that if it was in a store, it must be in style.

What would I do without him?

I would definitely be a mismatched and squinty woman wearing striped or solid Gap clothes from high school, while living in an apartment decorated with candles and posters of long-gone gymnasts and American Girls that I found under my bed in Omaha.
