Can I just say that the last few weeks around the Carr household have held quite a few surprises, twists, turns, tears and joy.
Since I last wrote, I've enjoyed waaay too many glasses of pop (including Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Root Beer, Mountain Dew, Coke, Wild Cherry Pepsi and probably many more).
But more importantly, we spent Easter in Omaha (probably our last time in our beloved house, as my parents are moving to Minnesota), had two job interviews, enjoyed a concert and week with my sister-in-law Bethany and beautiful niece Sakora, was laid off my job, had another job interview, got a part-time job offer, celebrated my dad's doctorate graduation, got a full-time job offer and set a date for moving to Champaign!
Wow. It has been quite the crazy last three weeks. And WOW is all I can say about God's blessing and graciousness over our lives. Going from basically hysterical crying one day because of being laid off to jumping up and down with joy after being offered a full-time job less than two weeks later. God is sooo good!
And in case you were wondering, yes, I am LOVING being a stay-at-home wife. I feel like I'm on summer vacation now! Dishes done, house clean, bed made, Noodles tired, run accomplished, dinner made before 8:30 p.m., enjoying lunch with Kody, lazy mornings, running errands = the ultimate life!
Unfortunately, my summer vacation will end in a month when I start the new job, but Kody's summer vaca before four crazy vet school years in just beginning!
Lots more pics and updates to come...because now I actually have time to blog!! :-)
